Living in the South

Many Thanks to the students and faculty at Prairieville Middle School!  The "Living in the South" event last Friday was a pleasure to attend!  Local organizations made presentations to the students on a variety of subjects related to living in the south.  We did our presentation on Yellow Fever, Death and Mourning in 19th century New Orleans.  Students learned about the difficulties and challenges of living in the south 150 years ago.  Everyone was attentive and engaging and the students asked really great questions!!  If your school has a similar event or would like to schedule a presentation, The Hermann-Grima/Gallier Education Department would be happy to tailor one based on the needs of your curriculum.  Feel free to contact us any time or schedule a field trip with us!
