The summer is winding down and parents are looking for unique ways to educate and entertain their children during these last few weeks before the school year begins. The Hermann-Grima House can provide that. We have a very exciting camp planned for the first week of August. The highlight of our camp will be a project we have planned to invest the children in a museum exhibit of their own. The planning process will include visiting other local museums to gain ideas and information. The children will then choose a theme and objects from our museum studies collection. Then it's off to the drawing board to put it all together for the grand finale at the end of the week. We hope to spark interest in the fields of history, museums, and design while letting the children tap into their creative sides.
Campers will also enjoy new crafts and games chosen to teach them about 19th century children's lives. Our camp activities will be rewarding, educational and fun!
We still have a few spots open so visit us on-line where you can register.
