HG "Summer Day in the Vieux Carre": Campers Diary

Day One:  The first day of camp we went on a scavenger hunt at Gallier house. We played 19th century games called "I spy" and we played freeze tag. We made mandelas.
Day Two:   The second day of camp we made mustaches. We went to St.Louis Cemetery No.1 and we saw Marie Laveau's tomb. We might have put some x's on it for good luck.

  

Day Three:  On Wednesday we saw a presentation about Green Project ( Green project web)  

Day Four: On Thursday we went to The Old U.S. Mint (mint web).  We put on our own show and got to see Louis Armstrong's trumpet!

     

Day Five:  We went to so many places and learned so many things about how museums display their collections.  All our hard work paid off.  We made our own exhibit at Hermann-Grima House for friends and family.  It was a big hit!
